Am
I a good candidate for a Breast Augmentation?
You may be a good candidate
for Breast Augmentation surgery if you have
one or more of the following conditions:

are bothered by the feeling that your breasts

What to Expect at Your Consultation:
During the consultation, Dr. Viral Desai will
discuss with you your needs & expectations,
to gain a good understanding of the results
you are hoping to see after your breast surgery.
You will be asked about the texture & shape
you are looking for. It is important to remember
that your breast size should be in proportion
to your body shape. There will be personal preferences
& various factors that will help both you
& Dr. Desai decide what breast size is best
for you.

TO US. Strictest care is taken to ensure your
privacy.
What are the types of implants?
There are two types:
1- Saline Implants
2- Silicone Implants
Details of each will be discussed with you at
consultation. You can expect the consultation
with Dr. Viral Desai to last about 30 minutes.
Where are the Incisions
Placed?
The
incisions are taken in a manner so as to leave
minimal scarring and they are hidden in natural
body creases. Incisions are made either within
the armpit, underneath the breast in the crease
or around the areola.
How
a breast enlargement is performed?
After the incision is taken, a pocket is created
either in front of or behind the muscle. The
implant is then placed into the pocket and the
result is obtained. Dr. Viral Desai will inform
you of the best position to
place your implant, as this depends on the individual
body shape and quantity of the existing breast.
What should I Expect
After My Surgery?
It is a day care surgery, no need
for hospitalization. You can go home the same
day.
• Special suturing techniques are
used so that no removal is necessary
• You can take bath after the first
dressing is done
• You may experience some pain &
discomfort for 2-3 days
When
Can I Resume Normal Activities?
You will need to allow yourself 2-4 days off
work, depending on the degree of physical activity
in your job. If you have small children it is
important that you do not lift or carry them
to avoid any implant movement in the first few
weeks post-operatively. You should abstain from
sexual activity for at least one week and physical
exercise for three.
Does it affect breast feeding?
Since implants are placed behind the breasts
there is no interference with feeding.
Will my breasts look operated?
Due to the new shapes of implants, the breasts
look absolutely natural and hence no operated
look.
Do the breast feel natural?
Silicone implants make the breast feel absolutely
natural.
