Skin Lightening

Skin Lightening is the practice of using substances, mixtures, or physical treatments to lighten skin color. Skin whitening treatments work by reducing the content of melanin of the skin. Most skin-lightening treatments, which can reduce or block some amount of melanin production, are aimed at inhibiting tyrosinase enzyme.

Glutathione is the body’s most powerful and important antioxidant present in each and every cell in the body. It plays a pivotal role in detoxifying our cells, removing heavy metals, toxins and free radicals.

Antioxidants use various mechanisms for exerting action as skin whitening agent at different levels of melanin production as follows:
1. It prevents the synthesis of melanin.
2. Its antioxidant property provides protection to skin from UV radiation and other external as well as internal stressors generating free radicals responsible for causing skin damage and hyper pigmentation.

A mixture of antioxidants can be used in combination with many other agents like vitamin C to increase its absorption, N-acetyl cysteine to boost its level, and other antioxidants like vitamin E.

6-8 sessions, there should be a gap of a week between each session

Each session needs 15-20 minutes

Chemical Peels

Tretinoin based peels lead to faster dead skin removal, making it easier to peel off older and darker skin. As new layer of skin comes up, desired skin lightening is achieved.

A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

Using a series of micro injections, our doctors apply a series of ingredients found naturally in the skin such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins (A, B, C, E, K) minerals, coenzymes and nucleic acids. Mesotherapy improves the appearance of the skin, reduces sagging and restores hydration.

3-5 sessions, there should be a gap of 7-14 days between each session

If you have considered undergoing a facial rejuvenation procedure but don’t think you’re ready for a face lift or other form of facial plastic surgery, you may wish to investigate Facial Fat Injections, Botox, Dermal Fillers, Thread Lift, Mesotherapy or PRP(vampire face lift).

Fat Injections

This injection method of facial fat sculpting, also called microlipo injection, can restore attractive contours to your cheeks, chin, and under-eye area, and add volume to your lips.

Microlipo injection , also called autologous fat transfer, is a procedure in which an individual’s own body fat is used to plump up sunken or emaciated areas of the face or to add volume where desired. The word “autologous” simply refers to the use of one’s own tissues or fat. Because the patient’s own fat is used, autologous fat transfer requires three steps. The first step involves the gentle liposuction of some excess fat (such as that found in the jowls, abdomen, thighs, or buttocks). The second step involves the isolation and cleansing of the fat cells. We have a specified tool which convert the fat cells in to nano particles; so chances of fat necrosis is less and survival rate increases. Before transferring we mix it with stem cells so the effect will be enhanced. The third and final step involves the injection of the fat cells into the targeted facial areas in different planes of skin that improves the result.

Overfilling is necessary to allow for fat absorption in the weeks following treatment. When fat is used to fill sunken cheeks or to correct areas on the face other than lines, this overcorrection of newly injected fat may temporarily make the face appear abnormally puffed out or swollen. The swelling and puffiness in the recipient site may last several days, especially if a large area was filled.

While many patients are able to resume normal activity immediately post treatment, if a larger area was treated, you may be advised to curtail your activity for a brief time. You can expect some swelling, bruising or redness in both the donor and recipient sites. The severity of these symptoms depends upon the size and location of the treated area. You should stay out of the sun until the redness and bruising subsides – usually about 48 hours.

The duration of fat injection varies significantly from patient to patient. Normally 50-60% of the fat survives for 5-6 years.

Botox injections are the best known of a group of medications that use various forms of botulinum protein to temporarily relax muscle activity.

Botox blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract (tighten) as forcefully, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften.

Botox can be used on the forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines (lines in the nose), chin (for dimpling), skin bands on the neck, and around the mouth (for smoker’s lines and down-turned corners of the mouth).Wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity often will not respond to BOTOX®. It is important to re-emphasize that Botox is not a facial filler (that is, it does not fill existing wrinkles) it merely relaxes the muscles that are creating those wrinkles. Botox is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles, with only minor discomfort.

The procedure takes 15-20 minutes. It generally takes 5 to 7 days to take full effect and lasts upto 6 months.

Injectable filler (injectable cosmetic filler, injectable facial filler) is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin to help fill in facial wrinkles, restoring a smoother appearance. Most of these wrinkle fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body.

Dermal fillers, also known as injectable implants, soft tissue fillers, or wrinkle fillers are medical device implants approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in helping to create a smoother and/or fuller appearance in the face, including nasolabial folds, cheeks and lips and for increasing the volume of the back of the hand.

Dermal fillers are a naturally-derived or synthetic material that is directly injected into skin with the purpose of plumping that area to the point where the wrinkle, depression, or fold is gone.

Dermal fillers can be used to fix a variety of concerns related to facial ageing, including:
1. Adding volume and smoothing out the deep creases that run from the nose to the mouth (called nasolabial folds or laugh lines).
2. Plumping thin lips and smoothing out vertical lines around the edges of the lips.
3. Augmenting cheeks to enhance their shape, often restoring youthful fullness.
4. Filling out depressions (hollows) under the eye area.
5. Making indented scars from acne or chicken pox more even with surrounding skin.
6. Filling up sunken hollow cheeks
7. Increasing volume to fill out gauntness in the lower cheek or temple area, which most often occurs due to fat pads shifting beneath the surface of skin.

Fillers need around 15-20 minutes and last between 12-18 months. The results are visible immediately.

PRP (Vampire Facelift)

The Vampire Facelift is an in-office procedure. This procedure involves extracting blood from your arm and then spinning the blood sample in a centrifuge to separate the platelets. It has a greater concentration of growth factors than whole blood. The separated blood cells are then re-injected into the skin with a very fine needle, and only injected into the areas that need to be filled out or restored. These injections are performed in conjunction with fat injections or with HA fillers to create a smooth, rounder and plumper appearance.

The procedure is a near painless series of injections into strategic areas of the face to reduce wrinkles, add youthful volume, and improve the quality of your skin.

Platelet-rich plasma contains at least eight of the body’s own concentrated growth factors to rejuvenate the face in several ways:
1. Increases the formation of new blood vessels (also called “neovascularization”) and increases the blood flow to the skin, resulting in healthier, better and quality skin.
2. Increases new cell formation for skin renewal.
3. Spurs the production of new collagen, the major component of facial skin that diminishes in facial aging.
4.Activates the multi-potent stem cells already in the skin by tricking it into thinking there is an injury, resulting in the use of a combination of growth factors and stem cells to generate new fatty tissue. The new fatty tissue repairs skin that was never injured in the first place, resulting in the generation of new, younger-skin.

Atleast 3-5 sessions are required for good result. There should be a gap of 1 month between sessions.

PRP needs 30-45 minutes per session
